We are the only dedicated international source of independent, non-governmental research on Lunar development.
We focus on developing research that contributes to sustainable development on Earth and in Space.
We provide a 'third-way' perspective - pursuing research that would not normally be undertaken by government and industry - and that unlocks efficiencies through enhancing cooperation and standardization.
We believe that these efficiencies are well understood on Earth and could be applied more effectively in space, and specifically in the Lunar context.
We aim to demonstrate those efficiencies through funding research that turn into projects that deliver in active technology and policy implementation results.

MEET OUR TEAM
Open Lunar Foundation was founded in 2018 and has been building projects and publishing practical research ever since. Our organization is led by an experienced, passionate team and powered by a global network of professionals.
THANKS TO OUR BOARD
Our Board of Directors represents decades of space exploration, science and policy experience. Directors meet quarterly, with one in person annual meeting. In addition to providing strategic guidance and support, our Directors review and approve our operating plan and budget.
